OSHKOSH - The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Katie Kitzke hit the game-winning basket with 1 second remaining to lead the Titans to a 65-63 non-conference win over St. Norbert College at Kolf Sports Center.

The Green Knights (7-3) played without head coach Connie Tilley, who missed her first game in 35 years at the helm of the women's basketball program - a span of 822 games. Tilley had surgery Tuesday morning in Green Bay to repair a broken wrist suffered in an icy fall Dec. 10 while on a road trip in Galesburg, Ill.

St. Norbert held a 63-62 lead with 58 seconds left after Jamie Kuhl converted a conventional three-point play. With 31 seconds left, Megan Wenig split a pair of free throws for Oshkosh, which gained the offensive rebound on the miss. The Titans held the ball for the last shot with Kitzke's hoop just beating the shot clock.

Neither team led by more than seven points, with Oshkosh (6-4) holding a 14-7 lead about midway through the first half. St. Norbert took its biggest lead of the game at 35-31 with 14:20 left to play.

The Green Knights suffered through a cold-shooting night, making just 37.7 percent (23-for-61) of their field-goal attempts. St. Norbert had just seven turnovers. Krista Pelky led St. Norbert with 16 points, while Tasha Giese added 12 points and Kuhl 10.

Oshkosh shot 50 percent from the floor, making 21 of 42 field goals. Kitzke led Oshkosh with 17 points, while Kelsey Myklebust added 15 points off the bench.
