St. Norbert Falls at UW-Superior

SUPERIOR - St. Norbert College dropped a 3-1 decision to UW-Superior in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Wessman Arena.

The Green Knights fell to 5-10 overall and 3-7 in the NCHA. Superior improved to 7-4-2, 6-2-1.

St. Norbert forged a 1-1 tie after one period despite being outshot in the first 20 minute of action 13-2. Teal Crosson scored unassisted for the Yellowjackets at the 1 minute 24 seconds mark, but St. Norbert answered with an unassisted marker by Andrea Senne at 5:32.

Dani Schultz scored the decisive goals for Superior. She scored the game-winning goal at 3:59 of the second period, and followed up with an insurance goal at 12:00 of the third period. St. Norbert had an empty net for the last 1:08 of the game but couldn't draw closer.

Superior outshot St. Norbert 27-18. The Green Knights had seven power plays but came up empty, while the Yellowjackets were 0-for-3. Kaley Gibson made 24 saves for St. Norbert, while Shanley Peters had 17 stops for Superior.
