GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College rebounded from a winless road trip last weekend with an impressive 3-0 win over UW-Superior in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Cornerstone Community Center.

The Green Knights, ranked No. 8 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, improved to 8-4-4 overall and 5-3-1 in the NCHA. Superior dropped to 8-6-2, 3-4-2. St. Norbert is now 13-1-2 in its last 16 games against the Yellowjackets at the Cornerstone.

St. Norbert got the jump early on Superior, taking a 2-0 lead behind a 15-9 shots-on-goal advantage in the first period. Emil Haque pumped in his fourth goal of the season at the 14 minutes 37 seconds mark of the first, and Johan Ryd followed with his ninth marker of the year at 16:21.

The Green Knights held that lead for most of the rest of the game, and killed off three third-period Superior power-play opportunities. Cullen Bradshaw's empty-net goal with 14 seconds left was the clincher. The goal was Bradshaw's fourth of the year.

David Jacobson finished with 21 saves to post his first collegiate complete-game shutout. Drew Strandberg made 27 stops for the Yellowjackets.

St. Norbert, which outshot Superior 30-21, was 0-for-3 on the power play. The Yellowjackets were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
