St. Norbert Outlasts Knox

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had a proficient afternoon putting the ball in the basket in a 96-70 win over Knox College in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (11-3, 9-0 MWC) have won 41 of their last 42 games against Midwest Conference foes. Knox, now 0-29 all-time against the Green Knights, dropped to 2-12, 2-7.

Knox now runs Grinnell's offensive system, and as a result threw up 85 field-goal attempts. The Prairie Fire made just 22 however as the Green Knights controlled action for the majority of the game.

St. Norbert trailed 25-24 with 7:38 left in the first half before going on a decisive 17-0 run over the next 5 1/2 minutes. Morgan Heim's two free-throws gave St. Norbert a 41-25 lead with 2:04 to go. Knox would get no closer than 13 points in the second half.

Krista Pelky led St. Norbert with 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while Jamie Kuhl added 20 points and 10 rebounds. Krista Hawkinson had 11 points, while Heim and Brigette Baudhuin both had 10 points. Heim added 11 rebounds.

Kristin McDonald and Krystyna Williams had 12 points apiece for Knox, while Jodi Marver added 10 points.
