St. Norbert Opens Season at UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College opened its 2012 indoor track and field season by competing in the Pointer Quad at UW-Stevens Point. The meet did not keep team scores.

Emily Schudrowitz led the Green Knights to a sweep of the top three places in the 300-meter dash by setting a school record. Schudrowitz won the event with a time of 42.24 seconds, topping Ashley Graybill's four-year-old record of 43.05 seconds. Megan Domnick was second in 43.69 seconds, while Calli Nonnemacher was third in 44.34 seconds.

The quartet of Schudrowitz, Domnick, Karissa Kaiser and Hope Kovala claimed the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:23.11, beating UW-Stevens Point in a photo finish at the tape.

Erin McShea took first-place honors in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.84, while Courtney Slak won the long jump with a leap of 4.92 meters.

Kari Braatz was second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.26 seconds, while Nonnemacher was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.65 seconds. Katherine Larson was second in the long jump with a time of 4.80 meters, and Mackenzie Weber was second in the 3,000-meter run in 10:33.08.

Kelsey Timm took third in the 1-mile run in 5:32.00. Danielle Krause was third in the pole vault with a height of 2.90 meters.
