Big Third Period Lifts St. Norbert Past Lake Forest

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College scored three unanswered goals in the third period to lead the Green Knights to a big 3-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association win over Lake Forest College at the Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights improved to 7-10 overall and 5-7 in the NCHA, while the Foresters - who entered the day in second place in the league - dropped to 10-6-1, 9-4.

Lake Forest took an early 1-0 lead on a Jenn Caldwell goal at 7:55 of the first period. That goal would hold up until the third period.

Henriette Ostergaard scored twice to open the third period to give the Green Knights the lead. Ostergaard scored a power-play goal at 5:06 of the period, and then followed with an even-strength marker at 7:34. Andrea Senne finished of the scoring with an unassisted goal at 17:04.

St. Norbert outshot Lake Forest 43-36. Katie Aluia made 35 saves for the Green Knights, while Stacey Dierking made 40 stops for the Foresters. St. Norbert was 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Foresters were 0-for-6.

The game started a half hour late due to poor traveling conditions for Lake Forest.
