The Green Knights, who have won 44 of their last 45 games against Midwest Conference foes, are 13-3 overall and 11-0 in the MWC and hold a two-game lead in the loss column over Monmouth with seven games remaining. Illinois College dropped to 3-12, 3-7.
Illinois College whittled a 14-point deficit down to three points, the last occasion coming when it trailed St. Norbert 54-51 with 8 minutes 53 seconds left. St. Norbert answered with a 10-0 run over the next 2:45 to take a 64-51 lead following a Krista Pelky basket.
The Lady Blues would get to within 65-56 with 5:30 left, but St. Norbert went on an 8-0 run to take a 73-56 advantage on a Jamie Kuhl hoop with 2:51 remaining.
Kuhl led St. Norbert - which did not arrive in Jacksonville until the wee hours of the morning - with 21 points and nine rebounds. Pelky added 20 points for the Green Knights, who shot 44.8 percent (26-for-58) from the floor and were 20-for-28 (71.4 percent) at the free-throw line.
