St. Norbert Claims Four Events at St. Thomas Invitational

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College picked up four event champions at the University of St. Thomas Invitaitonal.
Nathan Heppe (800-meter run), Benny Swift (1,000-meter run), Hayden Hoffmann (3,000-meter run) and the Green Knights' 4x200-meter relay squad all claimed first-place finishes.
Heppe won the 800 by a comfortable margin, posting a time of 2 minutes 0.92 seconds. Jake Schneider finished in second at 2:03.22. Swift won the 1,000 with a time of 2:43.69, followed by Justin Fote's runner-up showing of 2:46.93.
Hoffmann won the 3,000 in a time of 9:01.62, over a second faster than the second-place finisher. The Green Knights' 4x200-meter relay team of David Prosper, Akeem Edmonds, Tyler Seidl and Brennan Liebscher posted a winning time of 1:37.40.
Mike Verfuerth was second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.26 seconds. Andrew Jacobson was second in the long jump with a height of 6.36 meters.
