Green Knights Finish Eighth at UW-Stevens Point Invitational

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College finished eighth out of 15 teams at the UW-Stevens Point Eastbay/Pointer Invitational.

The Green Knights totaled 28 points to gain their eighth-place finish. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 116.5 points, edging out UW-Whitewater's 113 points.

St. Norbert's 4x200-meter relay team placed second. The foursome of Justin Johnson, Brent Schreiber, Taylor Pasterski and Tyler Seidl ran a time of 1 minute 33.03 seconds. Concordia won the event with a time of 1:31.01.

Nathan Heppe earned a fifth-place finish in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:24.85.

Mike Verfuerth and Schreiber placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the long jump. Verfuerth had a leap of 21 feet 2 inches, while Schreiber followed with a distance of 21-1 1/4. Andrew Jacobson and Anthony Parker were sixth and seventh, respectively, in the triple jump. Jacobson had a distance of 40-1 1/2 while Parker finished at 40 feet even.
