Green Knights Finish Third at MWC Indoor Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in third place at the Midwest Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship at Illinois College.

The Green Knights totaled 95 points. Monmouth College won the conference title with 224 points, while Carroll University placed second with 111.5 points. Illinois College was fourth with 90.5 points.

Emily Schudrowitz set a Midwest Conference record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minnutes 13.70 seconds to win that event by almost 2 1/2 seconds.

Mackenzie Weber picked up a pair of second-place finishes in the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs. Weber ran a 10:20.71 in the 3K and finished in 17:39.32 in the 5K, finishing behind Carroll's Megan O'Grady in both events.

In the 1,600-meter relay, St. Norbert placed second in 4:14.59. The 3,200-meter relay squad finished third in 12:45.65.

Hannah Andrekus finished in third in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:16.54. Kari Braatz was fourth in the 60-meter dash in 8.11 seconds and fifth in the 200-meter dash in 26.96.

Kalee Luedtke was fifth in the long jump clearing a distance of 16 feet 8 inches.
