Green Knights Top Michigan Tech at St. Norbert Twilight

DE PERE - St. Norbert College topped Michigan Tech 91-64 at the St. Norbert Twilight held at Schneider Stadium. It was the Green Knights' first on-campus outdoor meet since 1980.

Bryon Betts won two events to lead the Green Knights. Betts had a throw in the discus measuring 135 feet 11 inches, and had a hammer throw of 128-8.

Justin Johnson claimed a win in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.61 seconds, followed by Mike Verfuerth's runner-up time of 15.74 seconds. Johnson placed second in the 200-meter dash in 22.26 seconds.

Akeem Edmonds won the 400-meter dash in 51.68 seconds. In the 5,000-meter run, Michael Heise won with a time of 16:01.61 while Brady Bemis was second in 16:11.65.

Randy Hill won the high jump with a height of 6 feet 2 inches, and was second in the triple jump with a distance of 42 feet 5 1/4 inches. Brent Schreiber won the long jump with a distance of 22-1 3/4, while Verfuerth was second at 21-10 1/4.

The 4x400-meter relay won with a time of 3:26.57. Dan Sisler claimed the pole vault clearing a height of 10-6.

Taylor Pasterski was second in the 100-meter dash in 11.04 seconds. Jake Schneider was second in the 800-meter run in 1:58.17. Kenny Oxendorf was second in the discus with a throw of 131-1 and in the javelin throw with a toss of 134-10. Bob Krueger was second in the hammer throw with a toss of 127-3.
