Green Knights Share Wisconsin Lutheran Invite Title

MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College shared the team title of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational with several strong performances at Raabe Stadium.

The Green Knights finished with 199 points, which was matched by Carroll University. Ripon College finished in third with 118.5 points.

St. Norbert cleaned up in the relay events, winning all four races. The distance medley relay of Elvia Martinez, Hope Kovala, Meghan Braatz and Amanda Whipple won with a time of 13:43.93. The 4x100-meter relay of Mara Aparnieks, Kari Braatz, Megan Domnick and Katherine Larson won with a time of 49.89 seconds. The 800-meter sprint medley of Aparnieks, Kari Braatz, Ashley Polomis and Calli Nonnemacher took first place with a time of exactly 2 minutes. The 4x400-meter relay of Hannah Andrekus, Domnick, Nonnemacher and Erin McShea also won with a time of 4:11.72.

Erin McShea, Kelsey Timm and Andrekus took the top three spots in the 1,500-meter run with times of 4:56.73, 5:01.29 and 5:05.37, respectively. Kari Braatz won the 100-meter dash in 12.86 seconds, while Larson won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.68.

Domnick placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.37. Timm was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.96.

Courtney Slak was second in the triple jump with a distance of 34 feet 6 3/4 inches, while Larson was third at 34-2. Kalee Luedtke finished third in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet 9 3/4 inches. Andrea Bosman was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.87 seconds and took third in the high jump at 4-10 1/4. Aparnieks added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 26.92 seconds.
