Green Knights Stay Hot With St. Norbert Invite Title

WRIGHTSTOWN - St. Norbert College continued its torrid pace in the month of April by claiming the team championship of its own invitational at Royal St. Patrick's Golf Links.

The Green Knights registered a 303 to win the meet, a season-best mark and a score just one stroke shy of matching the school record. St. Norbert's "B" team finished in a tie for second with Viterbo University, which each shooting a 306.

St. Norbert's Brandon Gries and Nick Roelse along with Viterbo's Jordan Kerska shared medalist honors with a one-over par 73. The medalist honor was Gries' second of the year, while Roelse - playing for the "B" team - shot 15.5 strokes under his season average.

Evan Mass finished in fourth place with a 74. Jacob Hebbard tied for seventh with a 77, while Nic Vrubley had a 79 to finish in 13th. Joe Martin placed in a tie for 22nd with an 83.

Erik Voss finished with a 77 on the "B" team. Joe Hansen and Kevin Hogan both fired a 78 to finish in a tie for 10th.
