Schudrowitz Shines at Gina Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. - St. Norbert College's Emily Schudrowitz led the Green Knights' contingent at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays.

Schudrowitz won the 800-meter championship race, which included three runners from NCAA Division I schools. Schudrowitz finished with a time of 2 minutes 11.77 seconds, a time which was more than two seconds better than the Division II provisional qualifying time.

St. Norbert also competed at the Wisconsin Private College Championship at Ripon College's Ingalls Field. The Green Knights placed second with 156 points, 31 behind Ripon's 187.

Melissa Menne earned the Green Knights' lone event win with the title of the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13:05.65.

Lauren Janes was second in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 43:20.18. Amanda Yenter was second in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.97 seconds, while Taylor Wenzel was third at 17.29. Wenzel added a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:12.06, while Hope Kovala was third at 1:14.85. Erika Quinn was second in the 5,000-meter run in 20:33.40, while Liz Hietpas was third in 20:42.18. Kalee Luedtke was second in the triple jump at 34 feet and 1/4 inch and was also second in the long jump at 16-1 3/4.

Elvia Martinez placed third in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:06.16. Ashley Polomis was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.26. Jaclyn Kerner was third in the 200-meter dash in 27.52 seconds.
