Hill Wins Three Events as Green Knights Take Lawrence Invitational

APPLETON - St. Norbert College's Randy Hill won three events as the Green Knights eased to a team win in the Lawrence University Invitational at Whiting Field. The Green Knights totaled 308 points to easily outdistance the Vikings' total of 113.

Hill won the high jump, long jump and triple jump to lead the individual performances for St. Norbert. Hill's winning marks were 1.88 meters (high jump), 6.49 meters (long jump) and 13.13 meters (triple jump).

Taylor Pasterski won the 100-meter dash in 10.90 seconds, while Mike Verfuerth won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.91 seconds. Louis Ayensu-Mensah won the 200-meter dash in 23.58 seconds, while Justin Johnson won the 400-meter dash in 50.27 seconds.

Benny Swift won the 1,5000-meter run in 4:10.90. Alex Clemetson won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:32.6. Luke Frommelt claimed the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:44.06.

The St. Norbert 4x100-meter relay team took first place in 43.04 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay squad also won in 3:34.71.

Jake Day won the pole vault with a height of 3.50 meters, while Bryon Betts took the discus throw in 41.06 meters. Patrick Sweetman won the javelin throw in 47.69 meters.
