Green Knights in Fifth Place After First Day at MWC Outdoor Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College is in fifth place after the first day of the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship held at Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights have totaled 23.5 points through seven events. Monmouth College is the leader with 91.5 points. Carroll University is second with 48.5 points, while Grinnell College is third with 33 points and Ripon College is fourth with 24.5 points.

Kelsey Timm finished third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 41 minutes 11.44 seconds, while Amanda Whipple was sixth in 42:26.11. Erin McShea placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:54.91.

Danielle Krause was tied for fourth in the pole vault at 9 feet 6 1/2 inches, while Jenne Wiedemeier was seventh in 9-0 1/2.

Karissa Kaiser was tied for sixth in the women's high jump at 4-9. Kalee Luedtke was seventh in the long jump at 16-9 3/4, while Courtney Slak was eighth in 16-7 1/4.
