Green Knights Take Second at Ripon Invitational

GREEN LAKE - The St. Norbert College men's golf team got back on the course following a miserable week of weather an posted a second-plcae showing at the Ripon College Invitational at Lawsonia Golf Club.

The Green Knights shot a 338, 10 strokes back of champion Viterbo's 328. St. Norbert placed the highest among Midwest Conference schools in attendance, finishing ahead of Carroll, Ripon and Lawrence.

The event was shortened to 18 holes from its original 36-hole format due to snow in the area on Saturday.

Gabe Dahl fired a 77 to place second overall and lead the St. Norbert contingent. Dahl finished five strokes behind winner Derrick Meier of Viterbo, who shot a 72.

Seth Oberschlake shot a 78, followed by Aaron Hammen's 86 and Brian Kuehl's 97 to round out the Green Knight scorers. Alex Ahola also carded 100 for St. Norbert.
