St. Norbert Splits on Second Day of UW-Platteville Tournament

PLATTEVILLE - St. Norbert College split its pair of matches on the second day of the UW-Platteville Tournament, beating Simpson College in four sets before falling to the host Pioneers in four sets at Williams Fieldhouse.

The Green Knights (7-1) beat the Storm 25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 27-25 before losing to the Pioneers 16-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-22.

Breanne Brocker led St. Norbert against Simpson with 11 kills and 11 digs. Catherine Guido led the back row with 19 digs, while Mary Kate Manion added 14 digs. Abby West finished with 14 assists. The Green Knights hit .229 in the match, getting 40 kills against 15 errors in 109 attempts.

Danielle Remy had 13 kills with two errors in 36 attempts against Platteville. Heidi Spies added nine kills. Guido finished with 27 digs and Brocker added 22 digs. West had a team-high 15 assists.
