Green Knights Fall at Concordia

MEQUON - St. Norbert College dropped its first match of the season with a 2-1 non-conference loss to Concordia University Wisconsin at Fitting Field.
The Green Knights (4-1-1) ended up allowing the game-winning goal with 5:02 left in regulation time when the Falcons cashed in on an own goal.
Concordia (5-1) took a 1-0 lead when Lauren Straehler scored off a free kick at the 72:37 mark. St. Norbert tied the match with just 8:24 left to play when Nicole Beine stole the ball and connected for her third goal of the season.
Concordia outshot St. Norbert 21-9 and held a whopping 14-1 edge on corner kicks. Sarah Platzer made seven saves for the Green Knights, while Samantha Anacker saved two shots for Concordia.
