St. Norbert Places Eighth at National Catholic Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - St. Norbert College finished eighth at the National Catholic Cross Country Invitational held at the University of Notre Dame's Notre Dame Golf Course.

The Green Knights registered 239 points. Seton Hill University won the 21-team event with a total of 62 points. Lewis University was second with 101 points, while John Carroll University was the top Division III finisher with a third-place total of 108 points. Bellarmine University's Angela Musk won the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17 minutes 31 seconds. A total of 165 runners competed.

Charlotte Walsh paced St. Norbert with a 25th-place finish with a time of 19:19. Amanda Whipple was 36th in 19:32, while Hannah Andrekus was 43rd with a time of 19:42. Elvia Martinez was 66th with a time of 20:15, while Erin McShea was 73rd with a time of 20:23.

Lauren Janes placed 89th with a time of 20:47 and Erika Quinn was 91st with a time of 20:48 to complete the Green Knights' top seven finishers.
