Green Knights Open Midwest Conference Play With Win

DE PERE - St. Norbert College opened defense of its Midwest Conference championship with a three-set win over Carroll University at Schuldes Sports Center. The Green Knights won the match by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

The Green Knights (14-7, 1-0 MWC) were led by Breanne Brocker's 14 kills and 13 digs. Danielle Remy had seven kills and eight blocks. Mary Kate Manion and Heidi Spies both had seven kills apiece. St. Norbert hit .130 in the match, getting 40 kills in 123 attempts against 24 errors.

Abby West had 35 assists, while Catherine Guido adding 21 digs. Lindsay Wiebe added 14 digs.

St. Norbert returns to action on 1 p.m. Saturday at Illinois College.
