St. Norbert Wins Twice at Beloit

BELOIT - St. Norbert College won a pair of matches at Beloit College, topping the host Buccaneers 3-0 in a Midwest Conference match and then edging Edgewood College 3-1 in a non-conference matchup.

The Green Knights (18-7, 4-0 MWC) topped Beloit 25-8, 25-13, 25-18 before beating the Eagles (20-5) by a score of 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-15.

St. Norbert hit a whopping .400 against Beloit, connecting 38 times in 75 attempts with just eight errors. The Buccaneers hit minus-.013 with 20 attacking errors.

Breanne Brocker led St. Norbert with 11 kills, while Danielle Remy added eight. Brocker had five blocks, while Remy and Libby Zimmerman had four apiece.

Catherine Guido had a team-high nine digs, with Abby West adding 16 assists.

Against Edgewood, St. Norbert hit a respectable .243 with 55 kills in 148 attempts against 19 errors. Remy had 14 kills, while Brocker finished with 12. Lindsay Wiebe and Heidi Spies had nine kills apiece.

Guido posted 27 digs, while Mary Kate Manion chipped in with 16. West had 39 assists.
