Zwieger Wins 110 Hurdles as Green Knights Place Sixth at Wheaton

WHEATON, Ill. - St. Norbert College's men's track and field team placed sixth at the Wheaton College Twilight Meet at McCully Stadium.

The Green Knights totaled 52 points to finish sixth. North Central won the meet with 193 points.

Josh Zweiger had St. Norbert's best showing of the meet, winning the 110-meter hurdles by nearly a half-second. Zweiger ran a time of 15.47 seconds to best Calvin's Nathan Musch's 15.92 seconds.

Jeff Pentek placed second in the 3,000-meter run. Pentek ran a time of 8:57.60 to finish five seconds behind Elmhurst's Brian McConnell.

Freshman Dann Schneider placed in two sprint events. Schneider finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.86 seconds, and added a fifth in the 200 with a time of 22.52 seconds.

Paul Leeman took second place in the triple jump with a leap of 13.46 meters, and was seventh in the long jump at 6.14 meters.

Tony Grossman was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles at 59.61 seconds, while Alex DeVillers was seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:20.26.

Placing in field events were Alex Albers (sixth, pole vault, 4.05 meters), Dustin Dessell (eighth, triple jump, 12.29 meters), Tony Dionne (seventh, hammer throw, 39.99 meters) and Connor Thornton (eighth, javelin throw, 39.27 meters).
