DE PERE - St. Norbert College battled miserable weather conditions and a formidable foe and came away with a 1-1 tie against Carroll University in a Midwest Conference match played in a steady downpour at Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (4-7-3, 1-3-2 MWC) got the equalizer when Jim Blisk's strong strike from about 25 yards out found the goal for his second goal of the year at the 70:10 mark. Tom Daly assisted on the goal.

Carroll (7-6-1, 5-1-1) jumped out to an early lead when Neil Zoglman's shot hit the post and caromed in just 2:22 into the game.

Neither team had a prime scoring chance in either of the two overtime periods.

St. Norbert outshot Carroll 13-12 and also had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Noah Davis made two saves in goal for the Green Knights. Tomek Miaskowski made two saves in the first half for the Pioneers, while Jacob Tincher made four stops in the last 65 minutes for Carroll.
