Blisk's Natural Hat Trick Paces St. Norbert Win Over Cornell

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College's Jim Blisk record a natural hat trick within an 8 minutes 9 seconds stretch to fuel a 3-2 Midwest Conference win over Cornell College.

The Green Knights improved to 5-7-3 overall with the win and 2-3-2 in the MWC. Cornell dropped to 0-14-1, 0-7-1.

Blisk broke open a scoreless game with a three-goal flurry midway through the second half. Blisk scored at 60:31 off an assist from Nathan Angell, and then tallied an unassisted marker at 63:48. Blisk scored his team-high fifth goal of the season at 68:40, off an assist from Kyle Adams, for a 3-0 edge.

St. Norbert had to hold off a late Cornell rally. The Rams got on the board at 78:36 on a St. Norbert own goal, followed by a score from Alex Beehler at 86:02. Cornell couldn't get the equalizer despite a couple of chances in the game's final moments.

St. Norbert outshot Cornell 20-9 and held a 9-2 edge in corner kicks. Noah Davis made five saves for the Green Knights.
