GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College's men's tennis team remained unbeaten in the Midwest Conference North Division with a 7-2 win over Carroll College at Western Racquet Club.

The Green Knights (12-12, 3-0 MWC) will go for their first-ever MWC North Division crown on Sunday when it faces Ripon College in the final regular-season match of the season.

St. Norbert claimed five doubles points against Carroll to pick up the decisive victory. The Green Knights narrowly missed sweeping the three doubles matches, taking two of three.

Ryan Kerswill beat Seth Pamperin at No. 4 singles and Eric Koppmann topped David Bingham at No. 5 singles by identical 6-2, 6-2 scores. Adrian Acosta tipped Josh Krewer at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-3. Chris Schmitz won at No. 2 singles, beating Michael Wajda 6-2, 7-5.

St. Norbert's Nate Tackaberry ground out the only three-set match of the afternoon, beating Adam Knoelke at No. 6 singles 3-6, 7-5, 6-0.

Schmitz and Mike Hyrczyk topped Krewer and Shea O'Rorke at No. 2 doubles 8-5. Koppmann and Dan Richter defeated Bingham and Pamperin 9-7 at No. 3 doubles. Acosta and Kerswill just missed a sweep at No. 1 doubles, losing to Wajda and Matt Ware 9-8 (7-4).
