Green Knights Shutout in MWC Tournament Championship

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College couldn't find the back of the net and lost 2-0 to Lake Forest College in the championship game of the Mdiwest Conference Tournament at Farwell Field.

The Green Knights finish the season 13-4-3 after falling in the MWC Tournament title game for the eighth time in the last 11 years. Lake Forest improved to 14-5-1 and earned the MWC's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Lake Forest took the early lead when Emily Keast scored at the 15:08 mark. The Foresters got an insurance goal at 56:03 when Becky Esrock converted a penalty kick.

St. Norbert outshot Lake Forest 13-7, but the Foresters' Bri Schleibinger made seven saves to record the shutout. Sarah Platzer made four stops for the Green Knights.
