St. Norbert Powers Past St. Scholastica

DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College scored six goals for the third-straight game en route to a 6-2 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association win over the College of St. Scholastica at Mars Lakeview Arena.

The Green Knights (10-2-1, 6-1-1 NCHA) found themselves trailing 2-0 after the first period. St. Scholastica (3-9, 1-7) jumped ahead just 4:15 into the game on a goal by Matt Malenstyn, and increased its lead on a delayed-penalty goal by Joel Paiement at 18:06.

St. Norbert answered at 6:05 of the second period on Patrick McCadden's first goal in a Green Knights' uniform. Joe Perry scored his fifth goal of the season to tie the game with a marker at 14:52. St. Norbert pulled ahead with a power-play goal by Cullen Bradshaw at 17:59.

The Green Knights salted the game away in the third period. Perry scored his second goal of the game at 1:32, followed by a power-play goal by Cody Keefer at 3:30 and Kyle Stroh's team-high 11th goal of the season at 8:53.

Stroh finished with three assists for a four-point game, and goes into the holiday break with a team-high 23 points. Keefer also had three assists for a four-point performance. Perry added an assist for a three-point game, while Cullen Bradshaw had an assist for a two-point game.

St. Norbert outshot St. Scholastica 38-19. David Jacobson made 17 saves for the Green Knights, while Colin Rundell made 24 saves in 48:51 of work in taking the loss for the Saints. St. Norbert was 2-for-6 on the power play, while St. Scholastica was 0-for-6.
