APPLETON - St. Norbert College defeated Lawrence University for the 15th consecutive time as the Green Knights claimed a 70-38 Midwest Conference win at Alexander Gym.

The Green Knights (7-1, 4-1 MWC) never trailed, jumping out to a 16-3 lead in the first eight-plus minutes of action. St. Norbert eventually led 26-6 with 7:31 left in the half and led 34-17 at halftime.

The Vikings (1-8, 0-6) got to within 13 early in the second half but a 14-2 run by St. Norbert to give the visitor's a 48-23 lead with 11:56 left on a Lana Tomashek basket salted away the win.

St. Norbert had 12 of its 17 players who saw action crack the scoring column. Krista Hawkinson led the Green Knights with 14 points, while Amy Wieting had nine points and seven rebounds. Tomashek finished with nine points, and Morgan Heim netted eight points. The Green Knights shot 44.3 percent (27-for-61) from the floor and had only nine turnovers.

Kassidy Rinehart and Patsy Kealey both had eight points to lead the Vikings, who shot 32 percent (16-for-50) from the floor.
