St. Norbert Splits Series at Oswego State

OSWEGO, N.Y. - St. Norbert College split a pair of games at Oswego State University in its first ever trip to the East Region, dropping Saturday's opener 3-2 before taking the Sunday game 2-1 at Campus Center Arena.

St. Norbert (5-6-2) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second game of the series and held on for the win. Andrea Senne scored her sixth goal of the year with a marker 12 minutes 15 seconds into the first period. Isabell Lundstrom added the eventual game-winning goal at 9:39 of the second period for her third goal of the season.

Oswego State's Leslie Jarvis scored a power-play goal at 13:56 of the second period, but the Lakers (7-6-1) couldn't find the equalizer. The Lakers had an extra attacker on for the last 52 seconds of the game but couldn't tie it.

Kaley Gibson made 16 saves to record the win for St. Norbert, which was 0-for-4 on the power play. Tori Trovato made 17 stops for Oswego State, which was 1-for-5 on the power play.

The Green Knights fell behind 2-0 in the series opener, rallied to tie the score 2-2 but fell with an Oswego State goal in the third period. The Lakers' Olivia Boersen and Melissa Seamont scored goals in the first period. St. Norbert countered with a goal from Senne at 6:15 of the second period and an unassisted goal from Henriette Ostergaard at 3:20 of the third period.

Oswego State claimed the game-winning goal at 11:24 of the third period on a power-play marker by Megan Hagg. St. Norbert had an extra attacker on for the last 39 seconds of the game but couldn't knot the score.

Bridget Smith made 18 saves in net for the Lakers, who were 1-fof-7 on the power play. Gibson made 18 saves for the Green Knights, who were 0-for-4 on the power play.
