Green Knights Open at UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College got its indoor track and field season for 2013 underway by competing at the UW-Stevens Point Pointer Open. The event was an unscored meet.

The Green Knights swept the top three spots in the 300-meter dash. Jaclyn Kerner placed first in 44.12 seconds, followed by Erin McShea in second at 44.41 and Kari Braatz in third at 44.83.

Kalee Luedtke claimed both the long jump and triple jump. Luedtke recorded a distance of 4.95 meters in the long jump, and added a distance of 10.05 meters in the triple jump. Nicole Vanderlin won the high jump by clearing a height of 1.58 meters.

Charlotte Walsh finished second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:58.01, while Taylor Wenzel was second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.83 seconds.

Elvia Martinez placed third in the 800-meter run in 2:37.04, and Kate Schabach was third in the shot put with a heave of 11.16 meters.
