St. Norbert Places Seventh at North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished seventh out of nine teams at the North Central College Cardinal Opener.

The Green Knights totaled 24 points, five points behind sixth-place Aurora University's 29 points. UW-La Crosse won the meet with 185 points, while UW-Oshkosh was second with 135 points.

Nicole Vanderlin led the Green Knights with a second-place showing in the high jump, clearing a height of 5 feet 2 1/4 inches. She was one inch short of UW-La Crosse's Kayla Ashland, who won with a height of 5-3 1/4.

Liz LeCaptain placed third in the 60-meter dash with a school-record time of 7.96 seconds.

Kalee Luedtke was eighth ni the triple jump with a distance of 34 feet 4 3/4 inches. Kate Schabach was eighth in the shot put with a heave of 37-2 1/4.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Karissa Kaiser, Hannah Andrekus, Mara Aparnieks and Emily Erickson finished tenth, but was fourth for scoring purposes. The quartet finished with a time of 4:29.04.
