Green Knights Tumble to Knox

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College lost to Knox College for the first time in 30 all-time meetings with a 79-68 setback in a Midwest Conference game at Memorial Gym.

The Green Knights (12-6, 9-4 MWC) entered the game 29-0 all-time against the Prairie Fire (7-10, 5-7), but saw an early lead disappear by halftime. St. Norbert trailed 36-30 at halftime, and never led in the second half.

St. Norbert shot 45.3 percent (29-for-64) from the floor but was an abysmal 37 percent (10-for-27) at the free-throw line. Tasha Giese led St. Norbert with 21 points. Lauren Carman was the only other St. Norbert play to reach double figures with 12 points. Morgan Heim added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Knox was led by 22 points from Jessica Howard.
