Green Knights Compete at Lake Superior Challenge

DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College returned to action by competing at the College of St. Scholastica Lake Superior Challenge at Burns Commons. The meet was unscored.

St. Norbert's 1,600-meter sprint medley relay of Meghan Valentine, Emily Spone, Angel Hon and Lauren Janes won the event with a time of 4:54.28. Karissa Kaiser won the high jump by clearing a height of 4 feet 10 1/4 inches. Kalee Luedtke won the long jump with a distance of 16-4 1/2. The foursome of Hon, Liz LeCaptain, Mara Aparnieks and Ashley Polomis won the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:53.39.

Taylor Wenzel finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.56 seconds, which set a St. Norbert record.

Kari Braatz was third in the 200-meter dash in 27.26 seconds, and Hon was fourth in the event with a time of 27.36 seconds.

Callie Nonnemacher was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.68, while Braatz was sixth in 1:04.62. Hannah Andrekus was fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.76.

Erika Quinn was fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:48.82, while Janes was fifth with a time of 20:10.77. Elvia Martinez was fourth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:17.35, and Amanda Whipple was fifth in 11:19.28.

Ashley Bondarowicz was fourth in the triple jump in 33-11 1/4, while Luedtke was sixth in 33-3 1/4.

Charlotte Walsh was fifth in the 1,000-meter run in 3:13.86 and was sixth in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:27.52.

Aparnieks was sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.30 seconds. Meghan Braatz was sixth in the 500-meter dash in 1:31.71. Kate Schabach was sixth in the shot put at 36-5.
