St. Norbert Collects Several Wins at Lake Superior Challenge

DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College returned to the track by competing at the College of St. Scholastica Lake Superior Challenge at Burns Commons. The meet was unscored.

Jake Schneider won the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.70 seconds. Akeem Edmonds was second in 51.74 seconds, while Stephen Sheperd was fifth in 52.28 seconds.

Logan Jadin claimed the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:55.63, and Hayden Hoffmann was second with a time of 15:58.93.

Nathan Heppe won the 800-mer run in 1:55.71, followed by Benny Swift in second with a time of 1:56.77.

Taylor Pasterski won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.77 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay of Pasterski, Schneider, Edmonds and Sheperd won with a time of 3:29.18. The 4x200-meter relay of Pasterski, jack Feuerstein, Tyler Seidl and Edmonds also won with a time of 1:35.31.

Randy Hill was first in the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet 10 1/4 inches, and also placed third in the long jump at 20-11 1/4. Anthony Parker was fourth in the triple jump at 40-7, while Andrew Jacobson was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 20-2 1/4.

Joe McArdle was second in the shot put with a distance of 44-4 1/4, while Evan Broyles was fifth with a heave of 40-11 3/4.

Louis Ayensu-Mensah finished fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.33 seconds. Michael Heise was fifth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:11.84.

Mike Linzmeier was sixth in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:34.46. Mike Verfuerth was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.36 seconds.

At the UW-River Falls Invitational, Dan Sisler finished second in the heptathlon with a St. Norbert-record 4,438 points.
