Green Knights Take Second at MWC Indoor Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College finished in second place at the Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship for the third time in four seasons in the meet held at Monmouth College's Huff Athletic Center.

The Green Knights totaled 129 points to finish behind Monmouth's 228.5 points, as the Scots won the championship for the 14th consecutive year. Ripon College was in third place with 79 points.

Randy Hill claimed first place in the high jump with a height of 1.98 meters. Hill added a third-place showing in the triple jump at 13.90 meters. Following the meet, Hill was named one of the event's Most Outstanding Field Performers.

The 4x400-meter relay of Taylor Pasterski, Akeem Edmonds, Stephen Sheperd and Jake Schneider won the conference title with a time of 3:28.64. The distance medley relay of Daniel Reigh, Jack Feuerstein, Justin Fote and Mike Linzmeier was third with a time of 10:50.66.

Nathan Heppe was second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.13. Schneider was sixth in 2:00.02, while Benny Swift was seventh in 2:00.25.

Logan Jadin placed second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:51.91, and Michael Heise was fourth in 8:58.54.

Pasterski was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.41 seconds, followed by Sheperd in seventh at 52.36 seconds. Pasterski added a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter dash in 7.23 seconds.

Anthony Parker was fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.04 meters. Dan Sisler was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.27 seconds, and Feuerstein was seventh in 9.39 seconds.
