Dahl Takes Second at MWC Meet, Team Finishes Seventh

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Gabe Dahl finished in second place at the Midwest Conference Men's Golf Championship, a 54-hole affair from May 1-3 at Aldeen Golf Club.

Dahl fired a 76-80-77-233 to finish nine strokes behind Midwest Conference champion David Marquardt of Knox College, who shot a 72-74-78. Dahl's 77 was the best round shot on the third day of the competition.

St. Norbert finished seventh overall with a total team score of 1,014 strokes. The Green Knights were in fifth after each of the first two days but slid to 17 strokes behind a three-way tie for fourth with Lawrence, Carroll and Ripon. Knox won the meet with a 970.

Seth Oberschlake also finished in the top 10, carding a ninth-place 80-81-85-246.

Rounding out the St. Norbert squad was Aaron Hammen (84-83-102- 269), Brian Kuehl (85-86-101-272), Brandon Panish (96-94-97-287) and Steve Schroeder (95-96-100-291).
