GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College split a pair of non-conference dual matches, dropping a tough 5-4 decision to Monmouth College before topping Milwaukee School of Engineering 8-1.

The Green Knights (3-9) earned two doubles points against the Raiders. Nick Acosta and Tim Hartwick blanked Jeff Scarpelli and Nick Matsuura 8-0 at No. 1. Matt Lobeck and Casey Brice defeated Eric Klamrowski and Andrew Kosasih 8-4 at No. 2.

In singles action, Lobeck defeated Klamrowski 6-3, 7-6 at No. 1. Acosta followed with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 2 over Zachary Dam. Travis Buechel defeated Scarpelli 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, and Nate Gosz defeated Matsurra by the same score at No. 4. Zach Zdanovec defeated Matthew Slaughter 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5, and Leon Gilman bested Kosasih 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Against Monmouth, Buechel and Gosz earned the Green Knights' lone doubles point with an 8-0 win over Alex King and Andrew Shikallis at No. 3.

St. Norbert and Monmouth split the six doubles matches to give the Scots the narrow win. Lobeck topped David Stewart 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 at No. 2, and Buechel defeated King 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5. Gosz earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Shiakallis at No. 6.
