D3hockey.com Honors Three St. Norbert Skaters

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior forwards Kyle Stroh and Cody Keefer and senior defenseman Carl Ekstrom all earned All-America accolades on the D3hockey.com All-American Team.

Ekstrom was a first-team selection, Stroh a second-team choice, and Keefer was an honorable mention pick. Only six players each nationally were selected for the first team, second team and honorable mention. Voting was conducted by sports information directors at schools which sponsor Division III hockey.

Additionally, Ekstrom and Stroh were named first-team All-West Region by D3hockey.com, while Keefer was a second-team choice.

Ekstrom, a Sodertalje, Sweden, native, topped St. Norbert blueliners with six goals and 13 assists for 19 points. Ekstrom finished his career with eight goals and 26 assists for 34 points in 78 games.

Stroh, a Vibank, Sakatchewan, native, led the Green Knights in scoring with 19 goals and 22 assists for 41 points. He finished his career with 49 goals and 54 assists for 103 points in 115 games.

Keefer, a Grayling, Mich., native, had 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points this season. Keefer finished his career with 62 goals and 52 assists for 114 points in 119 games.

Oswego State's Paul Rodrigues was D3hockey.com's national Player of the Year, while UW-Eau Claire's Matt Loen was national Coach of the Year.

St. Norbert finished the 2012-13 season 23-6-1 and lost in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament to eventual national champion UW-Eau Claire.
