DENMARK - St. Norbert College split a pair of well-played games with UW-Stevens Point, winning the first game 3-2 before dropping the nightcap of the non-conference by the same score at Memorial Field.

St. Norbert (13-11) earned a walk-off win in the opener. Steph Brunette's double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh scored Jena Paul from second base to plate the game-winning run.

The Green Knights trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth when Brunette stroked a two-run home run for a 2-1 lead. Stevens Point's Jordon Schreiner tagged a solo home run in the sixth inning to knot the game at 2-2.

Brunette finished the opener 2-for-4 and drove in all three runs, while Samantha Gross was 2-for-3.

Morgan Rusch earned the win in relief, working the final inning allowing one hit and one walk. Shannen Schmidt started and received a no-decision, allowing five hits in six innings with one walk and two strikeouts.

St. Norbert built a 2-0 lead in the nightcap before the Pointers rallied with a three-run fifth inning. Emily Laufer had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and MacKenzie Hazen had an RBI single in the fourth inning to account for St. Norbert's two runs. Alicia Hahnemann's two-run double in the fifth inning was the decisive blow for the Pointers.

The Green Knights had five hits but no one had a multiple-hit game.

Rusch took the loss, allowing five hits with no walks and four strikeouts in a complete-game effort. Kali Riddell outdueled Rusch, allowing five hits with no walks and one strikeout.
