DE PERE - St. Norbert College won the Midwest Conference Ralph Shively Men's All-Sports Trophy for the second time after a banner year for the Green Knights in 2012-13. The Green Knights were second on the women's side.

St. Norbert won the men's trophy for the first time since 2003-04, tipping Grinnell College by one point. The Green Knights won championships in football, basketball and golf, and was second in indoor and outdoor track and baseball. St. Norbert narrowly missed becoming the first MWC school to claim football, basketball and baseball titles in the same year since St. Olaf College did it in 1971-72.

The Green Knights, who do not offer men's or women's swimming, still compiled 85.5 points to edge Grinnell, which had 84.5. It was St. Norbert's second men's all-sports trophy championship since joining the MWC in 1983-84.

St. Norbert finished in second place for the women's trophy by four points to Monmouth College. The Green Knights, who did not win a women's conference championship this year, still totaled 82 points behind four runner-up finishes and four third-place showings. The Scots won three conference titles to total 86 points.

St. Norbert's 13 women's all-sports titles, including five of the last seven years, are the most in MWC history.

The Green Knights' 167.5 points was also the most in the MWC, outdistancing Monmouth's 161 combined points.
