Sisler, Boockmeier Qualify for NCAA Division III Decathlon Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College's Dan Sisler and Brad Boockmeier both qualified for the decathlon in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship to be held this weekend at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse.

Sisler, a sophomore from Dubuque, Iowa, is seeded 16th after a season-high point total of 6,302. Boockmeier, a freshman from Green Bay, is seeded 20th following a qualifying mark of 6,256 points.

A total of 20 contestants will compete in the decathlon. Central College's Eric Larson is the top seeding with 6,717 points.

The first five events in the decathlon will start at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, beginning with the 100-meter dash. The final five events will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, starting with the 110-meter hurdles.
