St. Norbert Gets Two Wins Over WIAC Foes

RIVER FALLS - St. Norbert College opened its season with a bang, posting a pair of 9-0 wins over Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents UW-River Falls and UW-Stout.

The Green Knights (2-0) won all of their matches in straight sets. St. Norbert opened with the day with the win over River Falls. The Green Knights received a 6-0, 6-0 win from Elizabeth Manlock over Kayla Rosenow at No. 3 singles, followed by a 6-0, 6-1 win by Katherine Ake over Anna Ebensperger at No. 4 singles.

Nancy Chybowski claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win over Makayla Newberry at No. 1, while Brittany Dudzik topped Brittany Mohn by the same score at No. 5.

Manlick and Emily Rasmussen blanked Rosenow and Hannah Klimek 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Against Stout, Ake and Ashley Randazzo pitched an 8-0 shutout over Angela Braun and Kelsey Pedersen at No. 3 doubles.

Ake spun a singles shutout of her own at No. 4 with a blanking of Molly Denney. Erika Chitko claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win over Annie Lindsay at No. 2, while Manlick stopped Emily Grossen 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3.
