Green Knights Place Second at Tom Barry Invite

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College opened its season with a second-place finish at the Tom Barry Invitational at Colburn Park. The Green Knights, who won the meet the last two years, finished with 70 points. The College of St. Scholastica was the team champion with 48 points, and Carroll University's Dakota Pruitt won the race by covering the 4-mile course in 20 minutes 46 seconds.

Mike Linzmeier finished seventh overall to lead St. Norbert, ending with a time of 21:19. Benny Swift was eighth with a time of 21:26. Nathan Heppe was 1th in 21:48, while Brady Bemis was close behind with a time of 21:50 to place 17th.

Logan Jadin placed 22nd with a time of 22:09, while Daniel Reigh was 23rd overall with a time 22:11. Jaquan Grier completed the Green Knights' top seven finishers with a 26th-place finish in 22:21.

The St. Norbert Alumni team placed seventh overall with 161 points. Alex DeVillers led the alumni with a 10th-place finish with a time of 21:37. Mackenzie Laska was 28th overall with a time of 22:25.
