DE PERE - St. Norbert College outlasted Concordia University Wisconsin by claiming a 4-3 non-conference win over the Falcons at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (3-1-1) scored a pair of goals in each half to hold off Concordia (2-4). St. Norbert held a 4-2 lead before the Falcons scored a goal in the 87th minute to draw within one, but there was no serious scoring threat after that.

After a quiet 30 minutes to open the match, Elly Wiebusch put St. Norbert ahead 1-0 with an unassisted goal at 34:01. Carley Pfannerstill's top-shelf drive at 38:56 pulled Concordia back to even at 1-1, but St. Norbert regained the lead moments later on Katie Vanden Avond's goal at 40:46, with Zoe Kurth assisting.

The Green Knights saw their 2-1 halftime lead quickly evaporate, as Pfannerstill's strong run led to her second goal of the match on an unassisted marker 24 seconds into the second half.

St. Norbert scored the next two goals on scores by Vanden Avond. The Green Knights went ahead 3-2 at 61:20 after a cross by Zimmer found Vanden Avond alone out front. Vanden Avond then finished a much-needed insurance goal at 71:47, with Maddie Packard assisting.

Concordia got an unassisted goal at 86:10 by Rachel Suarez.

St. Norbert outshot Concordia 21-6 and also had a 10-6 edge in corner kicks. Sarah Platzer made two saves for the Green Knights. Alyssa Schmitt made four saves for Concordia in the second half, while Ariana Worthing made one in the first half.
