St. Norbert Settles For Deadlock at Marian

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College finished with its first tie of the season with a 2-2 stalemate in a non-conference match against Marian University at Smith Field.

The Green Knights (1-3-1) and Sabres (2-1-1) were tied at 2-2 at halftime but neither team could find a game-winning goal in the final 65 minutes. The Green Knights held a 24-12 shots edge in the match and a 3-1 advantage in the two overtime sessions.

Marian scored 4:29 into the match on a Nate Peltonen goal. St. Norbert tied the match at 12:37 when Joe Fabich scored with Sam Lamers assisting.

St. Norbert pulled ahead 2-1 when Patrick Hehir tallied a goal off a corner kick at 28:12, with Nate Felhofer and Kirill Vasilenko assisting. Marian found the equalizer at 38:21 on Danny Heerhold's goal.

Scott Faul made four saves in net for the Green Knights, while Bryce Woldt turned away 10 shots for the Sabres.
