Green Knights Drop MWC Opener to Cornell

DE PERE - St. Norbert College dropped its Midwest Conference and home opener with a 25-16, 25-15, 25-17 loss to Cornell College at Schuldes Sports Center.

Cornell, ranked No. 25 in the latest NCAA Division III Top 25, improves to 14-3 overall and 1-0 in the league. The Green Knights dropped to 6-13, 0-1.

St. Norbert finished hitting .159, with 25 kills against 11 errors in 88 attempts. Heidi Spies finished with eight kills, while Breanne Brocker added five kills. Aubree Antosch had 11 digs, while Brocker had eight. Abby West had 14 assists, and Kaitlin Delahaut had eight.

The Rams hit a robust .307, with 44 kills against 13 errors in 101 attempts. Kathleen O'Connor paced Cornell with 21 kills and 10 digs.
