Three Named All-Region

DE PERE - Three St. Norbert College baseball players were named to All-Midwest Region squads by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Junior shortstop Adam Frost and sophomore pitcher Trevin Hillesheim were both named to the second team, while sophomore outfielder Jared Yost was selected to the third team.

Frost, a first-team All-Midwest Region selection in 2007, hit a team-high .386 this season. Frost scored a team-high 46 runs with 16 doubles, seven home runs and 38 runs batted in while also stealing 25 bases. Frost was the Midwest Conference North Division Position Player of the Year each of the last two seasons.

Hillesheim crafted a 7-0 record with a 3.21 earned run average this season. The Midwest Conference North Division Pitcher of the Year this spring, Hillesheim had a batting average against of just .222, allowing 34 hits in 42 innings pitched.

Yost hit .371 with team-highs in home runs (nine) and runs batted in (41). Yost also stole 21 bases and had an on-base percentage of .484.

St. Norbert finished the 2008 season 25-11 and placed third in the Midwest Conference Tournament May 9-10 in Galesburg, Ill.
