St. Norbert Winning Streak Moves to Five

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College won for the fifth consecutive match in dispatching Knox College in three sets in a Midwest Conference match at Memorial Gym. The Green Knights topped the Prairie Fire 25-7, 25-12, 25-15 in just 47 minutes.

The Green Knights (12-14, 6-2 MWC) hit a robust .447 in the match. St. Norbert cashed in with 41 kills against three errors in 85 attempts. The Green Knights also connected on 16 service aces.

St. Norbert got 14 kills in 20 attempts from Heidi Spies, and she also added five service aces. Anika Johnson had 10 kills against one error in 16 attempts, and had one solo block.

Breanne Brocker finished with nine digs, five service aces and four kills. Abby West had 18 assists, while Katie Stewart and Aubree Antosch both had 10 digs.

The Green Knights hit .560 in the third set, with 14 kills and no errors in 25 attempts.

Knox hit .165, generating 22 kills with eight errors in 85 attempts. Lauren Metcalf and Amber Eisha had six kills apiece, while Madison Pierro had 11 digs for the Prairie Fire.
