St. Norbert Moves On to MWC Tournament Championship

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College advanced to the championship match of the Midwest Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament with a four-set win over Carroll University at Cornell College's Small Multi-Sport Center.

The Green Knights (16-15) topped the Pioneers 15-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-16 to advance to the championship match, which will be at 4 p.m. Saturday against Cornell or Ripon College.

St. Norbert finished hitting .239 for the match, getting 50 kills against 12 errors in 159 attempts. The Green Knights finished Carroll off with a strong .438 hitting percentage in the fourth set, getting 15 kills with just one error in 32 attempts.

Heidi Spies led St. Norbert with 16 kills. Breanne Brocker finished with nine kills, 12 digs and three service aces. Aubree Antosch registered a whopping 39 digs. Kaitlin Delahaut had 23 assists, while Abby West had 16 assists and three blocks.

Emily Cecka led Carroll with 12 kills, while Kelly Sloyan had 10 kills. Taylor Kuehl had 41 assists for the Pioneers.
